Drop Off Clothing
Every piece you bring finds its way to a woman getting ready for an interview, a new job, or a fresh start. Your donation goes directly into our boutique, where our volunteer team prepares each item with care. When a client comes in for her styling appointment, she’s choosing from what you’ve given. That’s the full circle: your closet, our boutique, her interview, her next chapter.
What we accept:
The guiding question is simple: would you wear it to a job interview? That’s the standard.
We welcome:
- modern business suits and blazers
- professional pants, skirts, and dresses
- coats and jackets
- long-sleeve blouses
- professional footwear
- handbags, jewelry, belts, and accessories
- Denim and cotton leggings are welcome too
Right now, we’re especially short on professional handbags, footwear in sizes 5, 6, and 10+, long skirts and simple long dresses, plus-size clothing (size 16+), and unopened and unexpired beauty and personal care products.
If you have any of those on hand, email hello@dfsvancouver.org to arrange a priority drop-off.
We’re not able to accept:
- sportswear
- formalwear
- sleepwear
- loungewear
- children’s clothing
- items that need cleaning or repair
- or anything outdated
For men’s clothing, Working Gear is a great option.

Drop-off hours: Tuesdays and Saturdays, 9:45am-4:00pm, by appointment only.
What happens to your donation: Every item that comes through our doors is carefully sorted by our volunteers. Quality work appropriate clothing goes directly into our boutique for client styling appointments. Higher-end items may be consigned through our partner Turnabout Community, with proceeds supporting our Dressing Services.
A donation drive creates momentum behind our cause through your network in your workplace, school, or community group.
A drive provides greater impact as a community than any of us can do on our own.
How to get started: Fill out the inquiry form and we’ll be in touch.

What happens to donated items that aren't suitable for the boutique?
We ask that all donations are in great condition and workplace appropriate. Items that do not meet our current boutique needs may be sold at in-house clothing sales or through donation partners to generate funds for our programs. Dress for Success Vancouver reserves the right to determine where your donation is best used, including client distribution, community sharing, or resale to fund our programs.
Can I receive a tax receipt for my clothing donation? gender-diverse or don't identify as a woman?
Tax receipts are issued for monetary donations only. If you represent a clothing company interested in making an in-kind donation of new clothing, please contact hello@dfsvancouver.org.
Your drop-off times don't work for my schedule. Are there other options?
If our appointment times don’t work for you, you can drop off on-trend, seasonally appropriate workplace attire and accessories at any Turnabout Luxury Resale location. Consign your items under the Dress for Success Vancouver account (#66258). These items do not come directly to our boutique, but 60% of the resale value is donated to Dress for Success Vancouver.
