Our Programs
Your next step starts here.
We're here to help you access the clothing, skills, community, and confidence you need to move forward in your career, at no cost, and at your own pace.
If you're a woman or gender-diverse individual in Metro Vancouver preparing for a new job, building your career, or looking for your next step, you're in the right place. No referral required, and there's no charge to participate in any of our programs.
Our Programs
Whether you’re making a career transition, joining or coming back into the workforce, making a start in a new country, or wanting to be part of a larger community of women and gender-diverse individuals supporting each others’ professional success, we believe in you, and we’re here to support your next step.
Dressing Services
The right outfit changes how you walk into a room. Dressing Services pairs you with a volunteer stylist for a personalized, one-on-one appointment. Whether you’re preparing for your next professional step, navigating a life transition, or dressing for a significant life event, there are many reasons you might seek styling support.
We’ll help you build an outfit that fits your goals, your style, and where you’re headed. We also offer outerwear, accessories and personal care items to give you the foundational pieces you need to feel confident.
Whatever your circumstances, you get the support you need to find clothing that empowers, is yours to keep, and reflects where you’re headed.
Workshops
Skills are what make confidence stick. We offer practical, curated sessions designed for the real moments in your job search and career: interview preparation, professional communication, financial literacy, and more.
Workshops are open to clients at any stage, and over 1,246 people attended a workshop in the last fiscal year alone. What you learn here stays with you long after the job is secured.
Leadership Programs
Some clients don’t just move forward, they come back and bring others with them. The Working Women’s Group is open to any woman or gender-diverse individual looking to build skills, find community, and grow.
Our Alumnae and Ambassador programs go further, offering leadership development and peer connection for those who have already come through our services and are ready to take on a larger role.
These programs create community and lasting skills beyond a single job placement.
FEATURED STORIES
What we do is about so much more than just the clothes. What comes after the appointment is the real story.
Bruna’s Story
Having the right outfit made a real difference. It gave me the confidence to initiate conversations, exchange business cards, and imagine new partnerships without feeling like I didn’t belong.
Janet’s Story
I went to Dress for Success and listened to women like myself who wanted something better, something greater for themselves. These women weren’t attached to their function like their job, they were connecting with their souls and their spirits. After attending the Professional Women’s Group meetings for six months, I received an invitation for suiting services. The experience that followed will always be one of my fondest.
Alecia’s Story
I felt a part of a community again, surrounded by hardworking, driven women -many who were newcomers, many who were also racialized, many who were building a foundation in Canada and all inspiring in their own way.
